BRANSONS LANDROOM — An ebey’s land rover took a bison carcass off a frozen river in the far western Chinese province of Sichuan on Sunday, a local official said.
The bison was being transported to a restaurant in the village of Chengdu when it was spotted by a farmer, the official, Xu Yuyu, told reporters.
It is unclear how the animal was injured, Xu said.
The bison is a symbol of a farming family, which has traditionally used bison as food.
The farmer was the first to recognize the animal, and he offered to help the farmer to clean the carcass, Xu added.
In the past, people from Chengdu have taken part in a binghun festival to celebrate the harvest of the bison.
