(AP) The rover landed on the surface of Mars Wednesday, the second rover to do so on the Red Planet.
The rover landed in a crater in the upper portion of a crater dubbed Rushing Arm, a site scientists have been looking for since 2012.
It’s the first time that the rover has landed on Mars since landing in 2011.
The rover was launched in August and arrived at Mars in November.
The landing is part of a plan for NASA to send a robotic lander to the Red Sea and return samples to Earth.
The Red Sea is part forays into deep space that scientists have wanted to visit for decades.
