Donald Trump said Sunday he wants Democrats to “stop blaming Republicans” for a crash landing in the East Coast that left at least three people dead.
“Democrats should stop blaming Trump,” Trump said on ABC’s “This Week” when asked about the crash.
“They should stop pointing fingers, they should stop talking about it.
They should stop being political, they are so political, it’s so pathetic.”
Trump has repeatedly blamed Republicans for the crash, including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Speaker Paul Ryan.
Trump has blamed Democrats for a similar crash that killed two people in Ohio last month, saying they are to blame for a spike in suicides.
He also blamed Democrats after a suicide attempt at the White House in late February, and has since said he has forgiven Trump for his behavior toward him.
“I want them to get off the TV,” Trump told ABC News’ Jonathan Karl.
“It’s a shame, I mean, the Democrats are so politically correct, and they’re the ones who are blaming me, because I have no right to do anything about it, and he’s the one who is supposed to do everything about it.”
Trump’s comments come after the White Trump National Golf Club in Virginia was evacuated in response to the deadly crash.
Trump called the incident “very serious” and said he was looking into possible legal action against the club.
The crash happened Saturday in North Carolina, where a car crashed into a fence and the golf course and then a wall.
Four people were injured in the crash and died.
